Mechanical Hand Drawn
For these drawings we had to hand draw something from a book using a variety of drafting tools. We then later had to start dimensioning these drawings.
CAD Single View
At this point we started to use AutoCAD to do the drawings on the computer. This is just a simple one view drawing with no dimensions.
CAD With Dimensions
These are also single view drawings but this time we had to include dimensions.
CAD Orthographic Projections
For these drawings you must show three sides by making the first one and then projecting the other 2 from that. These were also dimensioned.
Isometric Projections
These drawings were done by using the isometric mode to get a 3-d look to the drawings that shows 3 views.
Isometric Projection from Orthographic Projection
For this one we had to do the same thing as the regular isometric projection but this time we had to get the dimensions from an orthographic view in our books.
Section
For these drawings it was similar to the isometric drawings but we had to basically cut them into a half view or a full view to show the inside using hatch lines.
Auxiliary
Auxiliary drawings are for when you need to show a side that is at an angle without distorting it and breaking it off.
Inventor
For these two we switched from AutoCAD to Inventor which another program that is used for making 3-D objects.
